INFORMATION
SAN ANTONIO TOUR: To
include a driver guided tour and visit to Mission San Jose the most beautiful,
prosperous and best fortified of all Texas missions, restored to show life in
the Spanish Colonial days, briefly visit the San Fernando Cathedral one of the
oldest Catholic parish churches in the Southwest which faced more than its share
of siege and disaster.
Tour
La Villita the original settlement village of San Antonio now alive with unique
arts and craft shops and drive by Mission Concepcion the oldest unrestored Texas
mission that contains rare frescoes in red, blue and ochre on the interior
walls. End with a visit to the Alamo, the city’s first mission where all 189
defenders fell in the Texas Revolution to Santa Anna's army.

Local City tour
Tour length: 9a-12n or 1p-4p
HILL COUNTRY TOUR: To include a driver
guided tour and visit along the quaint German Community deep in the heart of the
Texas Hill Country located in Fredericksburg, Texas known for its wonderful
boutiques of handcrafted wares and antiques, shop and browse with the option to
see the Nimitz Museum. Tour the LBJ Ranch in Johnson City aboard a tram where
Park Rangers will conduct a personal guided tour through the Park and share
interesting tales of the Johnson family and If time permits stop in Luckenbach,
Texas for a brief visit of the city made famous worldwide by an enormously
popular country/western song remains as it was one unpainted General Store.

BADGE:
The description of the badge which is being made for the
convention is as follows:
1) Shape: The Alamo
2) Size: 3 5/8 inches wide by 2 1/8 inches high
3) Lettering: (All vertically) Through the center will be the
callsign, name and 10-10 number; at
one end will be "1010" and at the other end will be
"2003". Non-hams will have name and relationship to 10-10er.
4) Color: Tan with black lettering
5) Texture: Grained

ADDITIONAL PERKS: One convention pin per registration.
PICTURE:
The group picture will
be taken in the hotel parking lot at 5 P.M. on Friday, June 27 (15 minutes
before the parking lot net)
VE TESTING: Will be conducted for those who wish to try for their
license, or who are looking to upgrade
PETS: Pets are allowed in the hotel. There is a $50.00
non-refundable fee, however.
THURSDAY DINNER: Arrangements are being made for dinner on Thursday
evening, June 26, at the Alamo Cafe. The cafe is located directly across
Interstate 10 from the hotel. Transportation will probably be provided.
Seating is limited, so, if you desire to attend, please indicate so on
the back of the registration form.
